Silk charmeuse is an elegant, luxurious, and supple fabric with a lustrous satin face and a dull back. It has a wonderful drape,
but it can cling. If you'd prefer to hide any lumpy bits, make sure that there's at least 4-10 inches of ease in your garment.
Charmeuse snags easily and is best suited for semi-fitted to very loose styles such as blouses, dresses, evening wear, lingerie,
and pjs that will be gently worn and cared for. For the more advanced seamstress/seamster, a bias skirt from silk charmeuse is really lovely.
